Tax Help Montana |
| Each of our 12 Tax Help Montana sites across the state gives numerous stories of hope and of changing lives. We met a young couple with two children who prior to coming to the free tax prep sites paid two hundred of their hard earned dollars to have their taxes prepared. This couple received the Earned Income Tax Credit and could not afford to lose two hundred dollars to prepare their taxes. We spoke with an elderly man who could not afford tax preparation fees but desperately needed the refund. All walks of life are positively affected by Tax Help Montana. By collaborating with statewide community partners we were able to more than double the available sites across Montana in 2007 & 2008 and look towards increasing again in 2009. |
